The small shepherds' and fishermen's village flanks a cliff 180 metres above the sea, from where there is a superb view of the Kvarner Bay while on the horizon the violet-blue contours of Istria are outlined.
Here, too, hospitality is entirely genuine, in rooms with private individuals, among simple, friendly people. In the small local tavern, fresh fish will be the main dish, and if you are lucky enough to happen upon a festive day, you can listen to the characteristic local band.
Shortly after the Romanesque church of San Martino, the paved road descends to the wide bay surrounded by a white pebble beach.
The auroras and sunsets, unforgettable in this mystical-looking landscape, will transport you to a new dimension of space and time.
